Cirque du Soleil Cancels Performances in Texas Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

TEXAS (March 13, 2020) – In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and following the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation of social distancing, all performances of Cirque du Soleil ALEGRIA in AUSTIN and OVO in TEXAS have been cancelled. Performances of ALEGRIA in HOUSTON have been postponed.

ALEGRIA in HOUSTON – March 12-April 12, 2020 – POSTPONED
ALEGRIA in AUSTIN – April 22-May 25, 2020 – CANCELLED
OVO in EL PASO – March 13-15, 2020 – CANCELLED
OVO in EDINBURG – March 19-22, 2020 – CANCELLED
OVO in FRISCO – April 23-26, 2020 – CANCELLED
OVO in FORT WORTH – April 30-May 3, 2020 – CANCELLED

All ALEGRIA HOUSTON ticket holders will be contacted shortly. We kindly ask all ticket holders to keep their physical tickets until they’ve been contacted. Tickets for ALEGRIA in HOUSTON will remain valid until an exchange procedure has been established.

All ticket holders for ALEGRIA in AUSTIN will be contacted to start their refund process.

All OVO Texas ticket buyers will be refunded and will be notified on how and when their refunds will be processed by their respective third-party ticketing company. Ticket buyers who bought their tickets through Ticketmaster will be issued an automatic refund onto the credit card used to purchase their tickets. No further action is required.

Cirque de Soleil’s Touring Show Division is currently revisiting tour plans for both ALEGRIA and OVO for the rest of 2020.
